Monty Watson
Monty Watson has served as Chief Operating Officer of Rockpoint Finance, a real estate private equity fund; General Counsel of Terrabrook, one of the country's largest land developers; and as a lawyer in private, public and in-house practice. His real estate experience is vast, from both a legal and business standpoint.
Mr. Watson served for three years as COO of Rockpoint Finance, a company providing structured finance products to large land developers, home builders, office and mixed use developers and owners. These products included structured lot financing (land banking), mezzanine debt, preferred equity and first lien mortgages.
Prior to becoming COO, Mr. Watson was General Counsel of Terrabrook, one of the largest creators of mixed-use communities in North America. Some of the specific communities served include: Cinco Ranch, Greatwood and Eagle Springs in Houston, Texas; Falcon Pointe in Austin, Texas; Windward, Laurel Springs and Windermere near Atlanta, Georgia; Mirabel in Scottsdale, Arizona; Suncrest in Draper, Utah; Mountain Top in North Carolina; and Broadlands in Virginia.
Mr. Watson is founder of Friends of Santa Fe Trail, a full member of ULI (currently on CDC - Silver) and co-chair of the ULI North Texas CDC. His interests focus on family and the outdoors.
Damon Tanck
Damon Tanck has broad experience in commercial real estate and corporate transactions. He has represented clients in all aspects of acquiring, financing, leasing and disposing of raw land, office, hotel, retail, industrial, multifamily and mixed-use properties located throughout the United States. Mr. Tanck has also represented clients in various corporate matters, including entity formations and the formation of private equity funds.
Mr. Tanck began his legal career as an associate in the real estate section of Jones Day and later became an associate of a small Dallas law firm. Prior to attending law school, he enjoyed a successful sales career in the freight transportation industry, where he learned the importance of cultivating strong client relationships.
Mr. Tanck is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children.
Rachel Wilson
Rachel Wilson has represented clients in complex commercial real estate transactions, including all aspects of acquisitions and dispositions, financing and refinancing on behalf of lenders and borrowers, construction loans, and leasing. She also has experience coordinating real estate due diligence in various corporate transactions. Rachel's experience covers a wide range of commercial property types, including office, retail, hotel/resort, and multi-family properties throughout the United States.
Before joining The Watson Firm, Rachel was an associate in the Atlanta and Dallas offices of Jones Day.
Rachel is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Georgia and the Dallas Bar Association. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and family and doing volunteer work at various Dallas organizations.
